Dear Patrons,

In the library's newsletter mailed on Monday, August 2 we included information about items being collected for our local military personnel serving overseas. Please note the following correction: ITEMS ARE BEING COLLECTED DURING THE MONTH OF AUGUST AND WILL BE SHIPPED THE FIRST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER!

The community is gathering personal items and money or gift cards to be used to purchase items for our local service men and women. Donations will be accepted here in the library, at the Methodist and Baptist churches, and at the Church of Christ AUGUST 5th through SEPTEMBER 1st. If you have a service person you would like to include, please call Miss Ina Rae at 924.5671 before August 16.

Miss Ina Rae asks especially for personal thank you notes or letters for the troops, to thank them for their service. If you are involved with a Sunday School class, volunteer organization or even if your family would like to show your support, please get the notes into the box as well - before SEPTEMBER 1st!
